Located in Shawnee, Kansas, K.I.S.S. Dog Training is available for private instruction, board and train options and as well as group training sessions.
There will be no classes during the week of holidays and spring break.

Private, In-Home Instruction Pricing*
- Weekday rate - $160/two pack; $80/hour
- Weekend rate - $200/two pack; $100/hour

Includes a FREE 15 minute phone consultation. I prefer there be a minimum of two sessions; one to instill new techniques and methods and the second to follow-up on progress and suggest necessary modifications. This is up to you – but my prior experience has proven this to be the most effective method. $160 for the two sessions; each additional hour session $80. Book 5 one-hour sessions and get one free!!! (Additional dogs in the same household are trained at a 50% discount.) All private sessions will be held Monday - Friday; 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Weekend sessions are available for an additional cost, see above.

My Beginner Group Class Is Different!
I teach my beginner class in a pod format. What this means to you is never having to schedule a make-up class. Every Monday is level (pod) 1; every Tuesday is level (pod) 2 and so on. If you miss a week, just come the following week on the day you missed. This also means that if you and/or Fido didn't quite "get it", you can retake that level (pod) before moving to the next level (pod) of the class. Beginner class has 5 levels (pods.)

In the case of the beginner class, the age requirement is 18 weeks; there is no upper age limit. What does this mean to you? If you take my beginner class, you have the opportunity to take each level up to four times for one enrollment fee. This gives you and Fido the ability to learn at your own pace and not be rushed through a pre-determined course schedule. This class is taught on-leash. How smart will your dog be at the end of up to 20 sessions of training versus your typical 6-8 week beginner class?

My puppy class is taught in a much different format than you are used to seeing. I have borrowed principles from Dr. Ian Dunbar and have a truly off leash puppy class. That is why it is so important the puppies not exceed 18 weeks of age. Around 18 weeks of age, puppies become dogs (adolescents.) At this point, being off leash becomes more risk than reward. All of my puppy students are given the opportunity to take the beginner class (upon completion of puppy) for a 25% reduced rate. This not only allows for continuing socialization, but polishing of commands, cues and techniques. The prerequisite to join this class is a puppy between 8-12 weeks. If your puppy is between 12-18 weeks, instructor approval will be required or Fido will be enrolled in the beginner class at the age of 18 weeks. The puppy class will be taught with a minimum of four dogs. It will be taught in 6 weeks with 3-4 weeks in between each puppy session. There are no make-ups with the puppy class! This class is in my opinion the key to having a happy healthy and well adjusted dog.... Don’t wait for problems to “just happen” instead teach them right from day #1!

“One Behavior at a Time” Training (18 weeks or older) - $35.00 – Various Times Monday-Friday at Broadmore Kennels
What if you have just one problem or can not afford the other options??? We still want you and Fido to learn to live together! So we also offer 30 minutes sessions at the kennel, focusing on one problem behavior at a time with the trainer, you and your dog. Take as many of these “sessions” as needed! There are three available ½ hour training sessions Monday-Friday. The times are 6:30pm – 7:00pm; 7:00pm - 7:30pm and 7:30pm – 8:00pm. Please call Broadmore Kennels for available days and time slots.
Board and Train (18 weeks or older) - $25.00 – Various Times M-F at Broadmore Kennels
This training is the dog and the trainer only to focus on specific behaviors. Due to the fact the owner will not be present it is recommended that you invest in no less than three sessions. At the end of these sessions it is required to have an owner trainer meeting to teach techniques and methods to the owner… If not Fido will listen to me and not you! This ensures you can continue training at home with the same format for consistency and success. These are 30 minute training sessions with your dog and the trainer. Depending on the behaviors we are working on the owner/trainer session will be between ½ hour and full hour.
